Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Advocacy

We provide culturally appropriate holistic support for Hmoob survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault for women, youth, lgbtqia+, and elders in La Crosse County. If you are not from our are of service, we work collaborative with the WI Family Strengthening Helpline to refer to you other culturally specific dv/sa agencies in the state.


Our Domestic Violence (DV) and Sexual Assault (SA) Program provides FREE and CONFIDENTIAL services to assist victims with the necessary resources and assistance to deal with the personal, social, and legal implications of victimizations by DV/SA.

Services we offer:

  • Bilingual Hmoob advocates to support Hmoob victims and survivors

  • Information Referral to victim service providers and community resources

  • Personal Advocacy/Accompaniment

    • Accompaniment to emergency medical care or medical forensics exam​

    • Law enforcement interview advocacy/accompaniment

    • Assistance in applying for public benefits, return of personal property, etc.

  • Emotional and safety services

    • Crisis Intervention​

    • Safety Planning

  • Shelter/Housing Services​

    • Referral to local/statewide shelters​

    • Housing assistance support through our housing program

  • Criminal/Civil Justice System Assistance

    • Obtaining protection or restraining order​

    • Referrals to legal advice

    • Court Support

  • Community outreach and education on DV/SA
