HOUSING FIRST PROGRAM

 

Our Housing First Program provides FREE and CONFIDENTIAL housing support and services and referrals to assist the Hmoob community, including bilingual, bicultural advocacy and flexible financial assistance.

FOR RENTERS

  • Help understanding your lease or letters from your landlord;

  • Communicating with and requesting repairs from your landlord;

  • Resources to understand your rights as a renter in case of conflict;

  • Assistance applying for energy assistance, rental assistance, and other public benefits;

  • Information and referrals to learn more about buying a home of your own; and 

  • Help with moving and relocation into or out of La Crosse County.

HELP FOR HOMEOWNERS

  • Understanding your mortgage or letters from your bank;

  • Responding to official letters about your property;

  • Resources to repair problems or replace appliances in your home;

  • Assistance applying for energy assistance, mortgage assistance, and other public benefits;

  • Making your home safe and accessible; and

  • Help with moving and relocation into or out of La Crosse County.

RUNAWAY AND HOMELESS YOUTH MEDIATION & EMERGENCY SERVICES

Cia Siab, Inc. is proud to be one of the founding organizations of the Runaway and Homeless Youth & Emergency Services (RHYMES) collaborative along with our partners at Black Leaders Acquiring Collective Knowledge, The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection, and YWCA La Crosse.

 

RHYMES offers two critical services for runaway and homeless youth in the La Crosse community:

  • A fully-staffed drop-in center for runaway and homeless youth at 212 11th Street South, La Crosse (in the REACH Center building)

  • 24/7 text and talk line for crisis response and advocacy: (608) 406-2993
